About About Open Mainframe The Open Mainframe Project was founded in 2015, as a focal point for deployment and use of Linux and Open Source in a mainframe computing environment. Governing Board Composed of members both appointed and elected on a yearly basis, the board is responsible for overseeing business decisions and overall direction for the project. Ambassadors Ambassadors are individuals who are passionate about mainframe technology, recognized for their expertise and are willing to help others learn about it and the community. Technical Advisory Council The TAC directs and coordinates the activities and investments made in the technical community, providing a home and infrastructure for open source projects supporting the mainframe.
